For our KOLIBRI LV-I series the new software version V1.4 is now available for download. It includes the following improvement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The KOLIBRI LV-I controllers have so far outputted a voltage of 9V until initialization. This is not a problem for all receivers and FBL systems known to us. However, if pilots still use 6V servos, these could be damaged in the worst case according to our findings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With version V1.4 we have now programmed our software so that the KOLIBRI LV-I controllers no longer start with a voltage peak, but also go into BEC voltage control before initialization. The BEC voltage set by the user is thus continuously output by the KOLIBRI LV-I controller, even before initialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means that the minimum BEC voltage now also corresponds to the voltage that actually occurred in flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are some special features to be considered for this software update, therefore the update procedure should be carried out as described below: Attention: For steps 1, 3 and 5 please make sure that the battery voltage is applied without interruption, otherwise the bootloader may be damaged and sending the controller to KONTRONIK is inevitable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Update the firmware, as usual with ProgUNIT or ProgDISC. Setting the parameters is only possible with the ProgUNIT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. After the update is complete, disconnect the drive battery and reconnect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Program mode 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Disconnect and reconnect the drive battery. Wait until the controller initializes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Press and hold the button until the controller beeps (this can take several seconds). The bootloader update beep is different from the mode programming beep, so it is clearly visible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Disconnect and reconnect the drive battery, the controller initializes and is now ready for custom settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
